Recent events remind us of the blessings that God has poured out upon us in this country, namely that we live in a so-called peaceful nation. Two weeks ago we underwent an entire shift in government, yet, there were no riots, no outbreaks of violence, and no deaths. In many countries in the world, this is unheard of. We often hear people wish or pray for world peace, especially around this time of year. In the Bible, however, the only universal peace that is promised comes after a terrible war where Satan is finally and ultimately defeated. Then, Christ and His children will dwell together in a new heaven and a new earth, and there will be no more wars, sickness, sorrow or death. So, apart from Christ, there can be no world peace. Let us pray together, then, that through the ministry of RUF, many will come to know this "peace of God, which surpasses all understanding," through trusting Jesus Christ as their Savior, and let us seek to spread this true peace throughout all the nations.
